About Graham Park
Graham Park is part of the larger Qualicum-Graham Park neighbourhood, developed in the 1960s on land that was formerly woods and farms, originally known as Graham Bay or Graham Bay Station. The area was divided into four sub-neighbourhoods: Bruce Farm, Qualicum Park, Graham Park, and Bellands.
The neighbourhood is known for executive homes on large 100x100 lots. Qualicum Street features custom houses built by renowned Ottawa builder Bill Teron. Named after Qualicum Beach in British Columbia, most streets carry Aboriginal and BC town names.
Queensway Carleton Hospital opened in 1976 on former Bruce farmland and remains a major neighbourhood landmark. Graham Park Public School operated from 1964 until 1988, closing due to population decline. The school was demolished in 2011, and the site was developed as Kitsilano Court with new homes in 2015.
Location & Boundaries
Graham Park (Qualicum-Graham Park) is bounded by the Queensway to the north, Richmond Road to the west, Baseline Road to the south, and Morrison Drive to the east. The area was formerly part of Nepean. Main streets include Queensline and Beaumaris, with Graham Creek running through the neighbourhood.
