About Bel-Air Heights

Bel-Air Heights was developed by Campeau Corporation, with construction beginning in June 1958 and most homes completed by 1960. The neighbourhood has retained much of its mid-century charm, with many homes showcasing classic architectural styles from that era.

Of the neighbourhood's housing stock, 43% was built between 1946 and 1960, and 49% was built between 1961 and 1980 - meaning only 6% of homes have been built since 1981. The area features predominantly single-family detached homes (53%), many of them the classic Campeau-built bungalows that defined suburban development of the era.

In the 1970s, Minto built Castle Hill, a 21-storey apartment building at Castle Hill Crescent and Clyde Avenue. Additional apartments on Baseline and Navaho were added later. The neighbourhood's three parks - Agincourt Park, Ainsley Park, and Navaho Park - provide green space for residents.
