About Carleton Heights
Carleton Heights developed in distinct phases over several decades. Courtland Park, north of Dynes North, was among the first sections built. Rideau View, between Dynes and Meadowlands east of Claymor Avenue, followed in the early 1960s.
The early 1970s brought expansion with Debra Dynes Community Housing, Prince of Wales Complex, Chateau Royale apartments, and the Carleton Square neighbourhood. Most recently, Prince of Wales on the Rideau was built in the late 2000s, adding contemporary housing.
The Carleton Heights and Area Community Association serves residents, with the community centre adjacent to Carleton Heights Curling Club and Carleton Heights Public School providing gathering spaces and activities.
